Chinese pork dumplings, known as “jiaozi,” are a beloved traditional dish featuring a savory filling of ground pork, cabbage, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil, encased in a delicate dough wrapper. Ingredients :
1 cup of flour dumplings and 1 egg (to make dumpling dough)
1.5 lbs of lean pork
½ lbs of Chinese cabbage
2 onions
1 ginger root
2 table spoons of peanut oil
salt and pepper to taste2 table spoons of soy sauce
2 table spoons of fresh special sauce
3 table spoon sesame oil the sauce
1 garlic clove
2 table spoons of vinegar
Directions :
Chop up Chinese cabbage and mix it with peanut oil. Minced the meat (you could use chopper on high volume), and add mince garlic and ginger. Once meat is finely minced and mixed with garlic and ginger add the rest of the ingredients. Mix flour, egg and water to make dumplings dough. Put meat combination inside the dough, roll it and put it in boiling water. Boil until dumpling comes up on top of the water. Enjoy!
